The GolfAbilityTM Program is the first of its kind in Canada. The instructional hand’s on program is designed to teach individuals with disabilities the basics of golf and teach therapists and golf professionals how to instruct people in adaptive golf techniques. Our goal is to assist the growing number of physical, occupational, and recreational therapists, who realized the adaptability of golf as a rehabilitation medium.
With the GolfAbilityTM Program individuals will easily find themselves having gained new dexterity, new confidence, and new skills as golfers and sportsmen... all due to the inviting nature this well-crafted program and the example of others successfully demonstrating a comfortable re-entry into everyday life.
Throughout the years I have had the wonderful opportunity of performing the Golf With Attitude Trick Shot Instructional Entertainment Demonstration show all over North America. From deep inside the Arctic Circle all the way down to the mountains of Mexico, I have entertained thousands of golfers whether it be at charity, corporate, or celebrity events and the response has been outstanding.
It is only until recently though that I have really started to understand a deeper impact the performance has on individuals. With being certified and working with the Adaptive Golf Program in the United States, I am able to see the positive effects of hitting a golf ball in .
unique ways brings to people. With being able to hit an array of golf shots and emulate the same situations that each individual is facing, I have turned the Golf With Attitude Trick Shot Instructional Entertainment Show into something even more impressive and personally rewarding...A Motivational Show.
With examples of hitting golf balls from my knees, wheel chairs, utilizing prosthetic limbs, blindfolded to only using one side of the body, I put myself in situations that each person can relate to and show them how they can recreate a golf swing to simulate their needs.
My performances has brought not only humour and laughter but more importantly, it has brought hope to those who have witnessed it.
The number of people that I have been able to motivate to not only introduce to golf but also reintroduce and provide the confidence to utilize the game as a rehabilitation tool has been overwhelming.
With my knowledge of the golf swing and my willingness to personalize the movement to each individuals needs, it has allowed me amazing experience of witnessing individuals with paralysis from the waist down, stroke patients, amputees and cognitive injuries a opportunity to play a game that not only the individuals but their family members never dreamed that they would ever playing again.
The game of golf not only brings physical activity but also a social aspect, camradary and a new found sense of independence and confidence to individuals that desperately need it.
I would love the opportunity of discussing with you further to see how I can become an Ambassador with your program and utilize my talents to really make an even greater difference
